Gerald Vanover, Jr.
I’ve lived in Kentucky my whole life. I love the state of Kentucky and the people of Kentucky. Helping give the people of this state a hand when they are in trouble with an injury or illness makes me feel proud. I wouldn’t have wanted to grow up and live anywhere else.
In 2009, I began working at Morgan, Collins, Yeast & Salyer where I practice administrative law including Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability and Black Lung, both state and federal claims. I’ve had cousins, uncles and grandfathers who have worked in the mines so I know what it’s like when you need these benefits.
Gerald’s Background, Awards and Honors
Gerald graduated from Pikeville College (now UPIKE) and received a law degree from the University of Kentucky. He’s also a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR).
In his spare time, he volunteers with and donates to his sister’s animal rescue organization, Almost Home Pet Rescue, in Perry County, on a regular basis.
He’s also presented multiple CLEs for Workers’ Comp and Social Security topics including presenting to young lawyers and Kentucky Workers’ Compensation seminars.
